Kaas Plateau also known as the "Kaas Pathar" is situated in the Western Ghat’s Sahyadri range, 22 km from Satara city in the state of Maharashtra, India. The name Kaas originates from the Kaasa tree. As the leaves of this tree mature, they turn from green to red. Recently this site was declared as “WORLD HERITAGE SITE” due to the excellent biodiversity present over here. Apart from numerous varieties of wildflowers (some of which are endemic to Kaas only) this biodiversity site also shelters many insects, beautiful birds, amphibians, reptiles, and some major mammalian species. Visiting this ‘heaven on earth is always an outstanding experience.

Kaas Satara has a beautiful climate during the monsoon the Bamnoli lake below Kas Pathar flower season is perfect to sit and relax we will try to show you the maximum flowers possible. You can see windmills at Chalkewadi. Sajjangad fort from distance. If you enjoy watching birds, butterflies you will enjoy the day. Kaas Pathar booking needs to be done in advance as there are limited passes and they sell out weeks in advance. Kas Pathar online booking is compulsory.
8. Return Timings?
Due to Increased Visitor Traffic at Kaas Plateau and Bad Highway Conditions return timings deadline can be missed. We have reached from 10.30 pm to 12 am at Borivali this season.
