Matheran is a most splendid hill station in Maharashtra. Garbett Point Trek is one the best point in Matheran The climate of Matheran is very cool. Garbett Plateau is located on the southwest side of Matheran. The base village of Garbett Plateau is Bhivpuri which is 71 km and 110 km away from Mumbai and Pune respectively. Garbett Plateau is in Karjat Taluka of Raigad District. The Night trek to Garbett plateau is through Dhom Lake, a few Water Streams, and a steep Jungle Trail. The duration of the trek is around 3 hours. Thus, the endurance required is High.

We will be starting with the Khopoli Fast Local (time-table given below)
The timetable is as follows:-
09.26 pm : CST
09.33 pm : Byculla
09:40 pm : Dadar
09:47 pm : Kurla
09:51 pm : Ghatkopar
10:07 pm : Thane
10:29 pm : Kalyan
11:10 pm : Bhivpuri
Meeting point : Meet Adventure Geek Leader at Bhivpuri station.

11:15 pm : Introduction round.
11:30 pm : Start trek, passing thru Dam, Jungle, Villages
03:30 am : Reach the top Rest, Relax
06:00 am : Wake up, Watch Sunrise, explore Garbett point
06:30 am : Start towards Dasturi Naka after clicking a mandatory group pic 
07:30 am : Reach Dasturi Naka and leave for Neral in our transfer vehicle.
08:00 am : Arrive at Neral. Have breakfast& tea. This brings us to the end of the trip or new start

Garbett Point Trek is a medium level trek. Participants need to walk for 4 hours to summit the trek.

Can Solo Female Traveller do this Garbett Point?
Yes, a Female solo traveler can do this trek. We have 40-60 percent of females in every batch.

Toilet Facilities for Night Trek to Garbett Point?
We have toilet facilities at Base village...but while you are trek you need to go in Open.

Distance of Trek for Garbett Plateau?
The total distance of the trek is 6km from the Base village call diksal.

Do we Descend for Garbett Point?
No. We only do ascend trek from Diksal village of Bhivpuri. We descend from Dasturi Naka, Matheran

Are there toilets available during the trek?

Toilet facilities are available only at Bhivpuri Railway Station before the trek begins.

Once we leave the station, there are no washroom facilities until we reach the end point near Neral. We recommend using the station facilities before starting the trek.


Is lunch included in the Garbett Plateau Trek?

Adventure Geek provides a delicious local Maharashtrian breakfast before the trek begins.

Participants are requested to carry their own packed lunch, as there are no food stalls or restaurants on the trekking route. Enjoy your lunch amidst the stunning views of Garbett Plateau, surrounded by lush green valleys and mist-covered hills.


Where is the meeting point for the Garbett Plateau Trek?

The meeting point is Bhivpuri Railway Station.

Participants travelling by Mumbai local train should board the early morning Karjat Fast train and reach Bhivpuri by 8:00 AM. Our Adventure Geek trek leaders will meet you outside the station and guide you throughout the day.

Participants travelling by private vehicle will receive the exact Google Maps location after registration.


Can I drive directly to the trek base?

Yes.

If you prefer travelling by your own car or bike, you can drive directly to the designated meeting point near Bhivpuri. The exact location and reporting instructions will be shared after your booking is confirmed.


Do you provide transport from Mumbai or Pune?

Transport is not included for the Garbett Plateau Trek.

Participants are required to reach Bhivpuri Railway Station on their own. Those travelling from Pune can drive directly to the meeting point or travel via Karjat and continue by local train to Bhivpuri.


Can children join the Garbett Plateau Trek?

Children with prior trekking experience may join if accompanied by their parents or guardians.

Teenagers between 15 and 17 years of age can participate with a parent, guardian, or written consent. Since this is a moderate monsoon trek with slippery sections, parental supervision is strongly recommended.


Can I bring my pet on the trek?

No.

Pets are not permitted on the Garbett Plateau Trek as the trail passes through forests, streams, and uneven terrain where their safety cannot be guaranteed.


What should I carry for the Garbett Plateau Trek?
