Sondai Fort Trek is not a popular fort. Sondai is 9 km from Karjat. It offers a beautiful view of Morbe Dam, Prabalgad, Irshalgad, Rajmachi, Songiri forts, and the Matheran mountain range. Sondai was used as a watchtower. Sondewadi and Wavarle are the base villages of Sondai fort. Sondewadi village is situated at 1/4th height of this fort. There are 2 water cisterns on and steps are carved out of rocks to go on the topmost point where an idol of Sondai Devi stands. Two more water cisterns are on the way and have potable water. Waverle is another village from where a bit difficult approach to the fort passes through the dense forest. The top view gives a splendid view of the Matheran Mountain range. Green landscapes and even foggy pinnacle during the monsoon!

Itinerary :
Day 1
06:00 am: Meeting point at Borivali East, Sanjay Gandhi National Park.
(Pickup on the way can be done only on the highway)
06.15 am: Pick Up at Hanuman bus stop, Andheri.
06.30 am: Pick up at Sion Lunch Home, Sion
06.45 am: Chembur K-Star Mall
07.15 am: Vashi Station, Below the Bridge
08:30 am: Reach Sondewadi village base village of Sondai Trek and have Breakfast
09:00 am: Introduction and Instructions Start to ascend to Sondai Fort
11:00 am: Will reach the top of the Sondai Fort
12:00 pm: Start to descend back to the base of Sondai trek
02:00 pm: Reach the base village and Have Lunch
02:30 pm: Departure for Mumbai

Health & Fitness:
- For instant energy carry glucose powder or energy drinks or chocolates. Though trekking is a fun-filled activity, it demands a good amount of physical fitness. If you are under medication, please carry your medicines. During the trek, leaders will have over-the-counter medication for temporary treatment, so do give a heads-up to them if you need any medical assistance.
Monsoon Precaution Measures:
- Use trekking shoes with a good grip to avoid slipping.
- Take precautions against bugs.
- Carry First Aid & Necessary Gear.
- Protect your valuable items like cameras, phones, IDs, etc with an extra plastic cover and then put them in your bag.
Tips :
- A haversack to put in all the things to be carried so that one has one`s hands free while trekking.
- Please do not carry sling bags or Jholas. Avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments.
- Smoking and the consumption of alcohol are strictly prohibited.

5. Is there food available on Sondai Fort Trek?
No, there are no Food options But you get to the base village.
6. How much time is required to climb Sondai Trek Karjat?
Sondai Fort requires one hour to climb, it is a small trek.
7. Where can we park our cars?
Yes at Base Village but at your own risk.
8. Do Single /female travelers sign up for these events?
Our events have 60 - 40 % or more Male - Female ratios.
9. Are kids allowed on Sondai Fort treks?
Kids below 15 years old with Parental supervision only are allowed on the Sondai trek.

Cash payment is not accepted

12. Can we smoke or drink alcohol?
NO. People caught smoking or drinking alcohol will be asked to exit the event on an immediate basis.

– You are joining an outdoor activity where any incident, reasons beyond control like Natural calamities, landslides, bad road conditions, riots, political uncertainty, public transport failure, etc.; Man-Made calamities, Vehicle breakdown, vehicle dysfunction can happen & you agree that the organizer/leader shall not be held responsible for any accident, mishap (including death) caused by any circumstances.
– Adventure Geek reserves all rights to modify/change the camp/ program and abort the event and Adventure Geek will not be liable to refund booking charges in such a case.
- Adventure Geek reserves all right to call off the on-going event when such circumstances arise, and it shall not be responsible for any refund henceforth.
- Cancellation within 24 hours of payment 100% refundable. (Not applicable on payments made before or less than 36 hours of the event. Only 20% will be refunded in this case.)
- If cancellation is done prior to 10 days of outing 90% refundable.
- If cancellation is done prior to 6 days of outing 60% will be refunded.
- If done prior to 3 days of outing 30% will be refunded
- After that, no refund will be provided.
