Surgad Fort Trek is located in Gherasurgad village in the Raigad district near Roha. It is strategically located in a spur, fragmented from the Sahyadri mountains of Maharashtra.
History
The fort was built by the Shilahar kings and the Nizam of Ahmednagar looked after the fort later on. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj reconstructed and restored the fort. The fort was captured by Shankarji Narayan from the Siddhi of Janjira during the Rajaram regime.
Bajirao Peshwa captured the Surgad Fort in the year 1733. The Peshwas used this fort as a prison for the captured prisoners.
Gherasurgad is little known but extremely interesting and beautiful Fort. Surgad has water tanks, ancient temples, and buildings and is historically associated with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Surgad Top offers great views of the meandering Kundalika River as it originates from Tamhini Ghat and finds its way to the sea at Roha. Surgad Fort Trek is a soft trek and suited for any individual with basic fitness. Surgad Trek is recommended for beginners, soft trekkers, and family groups looking to have nature experience.

Itinerary
06.00 am: Meeting Point Borivali East, Sanjay Gandhi National Park, and Depart to Surgad Fort
Pickup on the way
06.15 am: Oberoi Mall, Goregaon
06.30 am: Hanuman Bus Stop, Andheri East
06.45 am: Sion Lunch Home, Sion
07.00 am: K-star Mall, Chembur
07.20 am: Below the Bridge, Vashi
08.00 am: Mcd Kalamboli, Panvel
09.30 am: Reach Base Village.Have Breakfast and Introduction & Briefing about Trek.
10.00 am: Start Ascending towards Surgad Fort
12.00 pm: Reach the Top of Surgad Fort. Explore Surgad Fort. Enjoy the stunning view.
12.30 pm: Have Some munching on top of the fort (Please don't Litter around)
01.00 pm: Start Descending From Surgad Fort.
02.30 pm: Reach Base Village. Change your clothes and have Lunch
04.00 pm: Start return journey towards Mumbai with Good memories.
08.00 pm: Reach Borivali National Park

Cancellation Policy:
- 75% refund if notified via phone conversation 8 or more days prior to the event date.
- 50 % refund if notified via phone conversation 4 to 7 days prior to the event date.
- No refund if the cancellation requested is less than 3 days prior to the event date
- Event Tickets cannot be transferred to another date against cancellation.
- Event Tickets can be transferred to another person against cancellation.
- If Trek gets canceled we will refund "Trek Amount" only.

It takes about an hour to reach the entrance of the fort from the base village Gherasurgad and about 2 hours to explore all the ramparts on the fort. Over all the entire trek can be accomplished in about 5 hours.

- If cancellation is done prior to 6 days of outing 60% will be refunded.
- If done prior to 3 days of outing 30% will be refunded
