Gurez valley tour Itinerary from Mumbai

Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar | Into the Valleys of Pahalgam

The mountains are calling, and Kashmir is ready to welcome you.

Arrive at Srinagar Airport by 12 PM and meet your fellow travellers and trip leader. As we leave the city behind, the journey unfolds through the famous saffron fields of Kashmir and the historic Awantipora Ruins, where centuries of history stand quietly amidst the valley.
The road slowly winds its way towards Pahalgam, one of Kashmir's most beautiful mountain towns. Surrounded by pine forests, snow-capped peaks, and the soothing sound of the Lidder River, Pahalgam feels like a place straight out of a dream.
After checking into our stay, spend the evening exploring the charming valley, riverside trails, and local markets.

Day 2: Exploring Pahalgam, Betaab Valley & Aru Valley | Overnight at Srinagar

Wake up to crisp mountain air and breathtaking Himalayan views.
After breakfast, we set off towards Chandanwari, the starting point of the sacred Amarnath Yatra. Along the way, we'll visit the famous Betaab Valley, a stunning landscape of lush meadows, towering mountains, and crystal-clear streams that became legendary after the Bollywood film Betaab was shot here.
The journey continues to Aru Valley, a hidden paradise nestled amidst alpine meadows and snow-covered peaks. Known as the gateway to some of Kashmir's most spectacular treks, Aru offers postcard-perfect landscapes in every direction.

Later in the evening, we drive back to Srinagar.

As we ascend towards Razdan Pass, perched at an altitude of over 11,600 feet, breathtaking views begin to unfold around every corner. Rolling mountains, dense forests, and deep valleys create a landscape that feels untouched by time.On clear days, the mighty Harmukh Peak emerges from the clouds, standing tall over the Kashmir Valley like a silent guardian of the Himalayas.

Crossing Razdan Pass feels like entering another world. The roads become quieter, the villages smaller, and the mountains even more dramatic.
By evening, we arrive in Dawar, the heart of Gurez Valley, where the mighty Kishanganga River flows through one of India's most beautiful hidden destinations.

Day 4: Tulail Valley Exploration | The Untouched Side of Kashmir

Today is dedicated to discovering the magical landscapes of Tulail Valley, one of the most remote and untouched corners of Kashmir.
Following the course of the beautiful Kishanganga River, we'll journey through a series of picturesque Himalayan villages where traditional wooden homes, vast meadows, and towering mountains create scenes rarely seen by mainstream travellers.
Every village along the route has its own story, culture, and charm. From Barnoi and Sheikhpora to Miru and Angaikot, each stop offers a glimpse into a simpler way of life surrounded by extraordinary natural beauty.

Our morning begins with a visit to the iconic Habba Khatoon Peak, the majestic pyramid-shaped mountain that dominates the Gurez skyline. Named after Kashmir's legendary poetess, the mountain carries centuries of folklore and remains one of the valley's most photographed landmarks.
Next, we explore Dawar Village, where traditional wooden architecture, warm local hospitality, and the rich culture of the Dard-Shin community offer an authentic glimpse into life in the mountains.
Later, we begin our scenic drive towards Bandipora, descending through winding mountain roads and ever-changing landscapes.
As evening approaches, we head to Sangri Top, a hidden viewpoint offering panoramic views of lush valleys, alpine meadows, and distant Himalayan peaks.

Day 6: Bandipora to Srinagar | Houseboat Experience on Dal Lake
